Planet spin contains a rather chaotic cave called Fiber Hollow. Fiber and spinning equipment often gets swept up and stashed in a disorganized fashion, the stasher convinced they will immediately remember how things were grouped as they were collected. Several ventures have been made into Fiber Hollow for bobbins belonging to a noncommercially made spinning wheel. Today, as fiber from The Woodland Pixie was being collected together, missing bobbins were found and now reside in a bag made from yarn at the very first visit to planet Spin back in 2008. This bag will not leave its wheel's presence.

Transmission update for YSSS:
It was a successful first leg of the journey and I come to you with news of a newly engineered life form modeled after those observed on the expedition. This has surprisingly been one of my top missions at the sock colony so far. While I was paying special attention to canyons and holes on the journey, I didn’t come across any. I’ve climbed heel peak many times but was excited that the new climbing gear I utilized was easy to figure out and quickly became a habit. The only complication was on cast off for the shuttle, the orbit was a bit too large, but it was still a smooth exit from the atmosphere. The crew has taken off for the second half of the expedition to finalize results, but research is looking incredibly promising.

Spinning planet
We have entered the upper atmosphere of a world that defies structural gravity. Planet Rotatio-Tri spins on its axis faster than any celestial neighbor in this sector. The rapid rotation pulls the landscape into hyper-velocity bands of crimson, stark frost-white, and deep cosmic blue. Exploring this kinetic dreamscape requires precise atmospheric drafting, a solid anchor, and nerves of steel.
Pre-Extraction Protocol
- Decompress the Core: Unfurl the compacted red, white, and blue fiber braid completely. The fibers have been under immense gravitational pressure and need to breathe before processing.
- Section the Sectors: Split the planetary mass lengthwise down its fault lines. If you want a perfectly symmetrical orbital pattern, split it into two equal halves. For a chaotic, turbulent orbit, strip it into four or five narrow lanes.
- Engage Zero-Gravity Drafting: Hold the fiber with a light touch. Let the momentum of your spinning tool pull the fibers forward. If you grip too tightly, the rapid velocity will snap the strand, forcing an emergency system reboot.

Greetings from the Fiber Arts Universe. It is I, Traveler Lila, AKA IG @lilalikesyarn
It’s been awhile since I have sent a transmission back. I have done a lot of traveling in the past month so there is a lot to share.
To begin my catch up, let me tell you about my guided tour through the Planet of Spinning. There I learned the very basics on how to spin wool turning it into a bulky yarn. Many lessons were learned, as I created yarn that resembled planet earth at it’s prettiest. So far over 10 yards have been spun in a bulky weight.
There’s been ongoing trips to planet knitting, where this past month, I have created mittens loosely inspired by neptune using the pattern https://www.ravelry.com/
Another pair of mittens for my best friend in gallexy Greenpoint, Brooklyn are currently being constructed using Rios yarn in Cowboy. They are reminscent of the beautiful milky way from the perspective of earthlings.

Greetings YSSS!
I am continuing my exploration of Planet Embroidery with the Kiriki Press Advent Calendar ornaments. The small size can be a bit fiddly without a hoop to stabilize the fabric, so my main recommendation is to baste whenever the directions suggest—it makes a world of difference in holding the pieces together. Each ornament has enough detail to keep me interested during the couple of nights it takes to complete them.
So far, I have finished 5 of the 12 ornaments and have no intention of stopping! This week alone, I completed four: the acorn, gingerbread house, bell, and elf.
Planet Embroidery has been a wonderfully cool escape with plenty of snow and ice to give me a break from this summer heat!

I do love a side quest - upon completing one sock, I’ve detoured to a new WIP briefly. I’ll be attempting to juggle that and completing the pair. There’s just so much to explore on this planet!

Greetings Space Station,
My retreat at another Knitting planet location includes about 5 hrs a day of meditation and mantra practice plus three hours of lecture and nearly completely consumes me, literally. Even so, I have nearly completed my third Orbit knitting experiment; all I have to do is bind off, which I hope to do tomorrow. Blocking will have to wait for my return to my normal station for use of tools there. I have been fascinated by the change in colors through the fiber as the project has progressed and am happy with the result. We will see how the fiber feels on the neck once completed!

I forgot to mention, the Embroidery planet continues to woo me. This week it was with a hand embroidered tunic that found its way to me. I see a visit to that planet in my future.

I've spent the week on Planet Cross Stitch, starting a new project! It is of a beautiful Trillium Forest and the colors here are so vibrant and incredible, almost neon! I've also teleported a few times this week to Planet Spinning, in an attempt to finish my spinning goals before the festival there ends! I'm getting really close, and am a bit anxious to see how all my work will turn out, but we wont know for a couple more days. Fingers crossed...

Location: Planet Tablet Weaving
I've been really enjoying weaving so I've come back around to practice more tablet weaving. I finished my sheep band and am trying to figure out what I want to make with it. I also took a more advanced tablet weaving class where I learned how to work with patterns where different groups of tablets are turned in different directions. Progress is a bit slower since mistakes are easier to make but I've learned a lot about how to unweave and fix my mistakes.
