We offer group classes, private classes and private help sessions in knitting, crochet, and spinning for students age 16 and up. All our classes and help sessions are held in-person at our shop in Kansas City, MO and students get 10% off class supplies purchased at Yarn Social.
About Classes at Yarn Social
We offer private help sessions, private classes, and group classes in knitting, crochet, and spinning for students age 16 and up.
- All classes and help sessions are taught in-person at Yarn Social.
- All private classes and help sessions are for one student and one instructor; we cannot accommodate multiple students during our 1:1 sessions.
- Group classes are usually limited to four or five students.
- Unless otherwise indicated, materials are not included in the class fee; students get 10% off class supplies purchased at Yarn Social.

Our beginner sessions will have you stitching like a pro in no time. Learn the ropes of knitting and crocheting basics with a beginner class.
Beginner Knitting

This two hour class welcomes brand new knitters and folks who could use a little refresh on the foundations of knitting. Learn how to cast on, the knit stitch, time allowing the purl stitch, and learn lots of tips and tricks for success!

Knitting: Sock Club

Handknit socks are quite possibly the most luxurious things you can put on your feet, and in this two part class, we'll walk you through how to make a pair for yourself! If you know how to knit, purl, and work in the round and would like to build your skillset further, join in on the fun!

Mistake Mondays
We offer free knit and crochet project help on the first and third Monday of each month from 3-5:30 pm. No appointment is required, and help is available on a first come, first served basis.
Mistake Mondays is intended for folks who know how to knit or crochet but need assistance with a technique, understanding a pattern, or fixing mistakes. If you'd like to learn to knit or crochet, sign up for one of our group or private beginner classes.
