Intermediate Knitting: Sock Club
Wednesdays March 18 & April 1; 6-8pm
Handknit socks are quite possibly the most luxurious things you can put on your feet, and in this two part class, we'll walk you through how to make a pair for yourself! If you know how to knit, purl, and work in the round and would like to build your skillset further, join in on the fun! For your homework, we'll have you get started on the cuff, in the first session we'll turn the heel together and in the second session we'll close up the toe and learn how to graft the toe stitches closed!
If you need help getting going, you can always book a 1:1 Help Session and we can set you on the right track!
REQUIRED MATERIALS:
- A copy of the Spree Socks by Kemper Wray
- At least 200 yards of dk or worsted weight yarn
- US Size 3(mm) DPN's or 32" circular needles
HOMEWORK: We'll be using the Spree Socks by Kemper Wray (Ravelry Link) and your homework is to cast on and work until it's time to start the heel!
The class fee does not include materials; we offer a 10% discount off purchases of patterns, yarn, and tools for classes, or you can bring your own materials purchased elsewhere. Please arrive 10 minutes early if you need to purchase materials for your class.
