Beginner Tunisian Crochet
Monday, January 26; 6-8pm
Ready to try something new? Can't decide between knitting and crochet? Looking to learn a technique that is a little of both? Tunisian Crochet might be just the thing for you!
Join in on the fun and learn the basics of Tunisian Crochet with local fiber artist Teri Plemel.
In this technique based class you will learn how to cast on, work different stitches, change colors, and how to bind off, leaving you ready to start your first Tunisian Crochet project with confidence.
REQUIRED MATERIALS:
- At least 50g each of two colors of worsted weight yarn. We strongly recommend smooth and light-colored yarns so you can easily see your stitches. (Dark yarns and loose plies are discouraged for this beginner class.)
- A suitable sized hook (size I [5.5mm] recommended) of any length, and a cable if using an interchangeable tunisian hook. A standard crochet hook may be used.
The class fee does not include materials; we offer a 10% discount off purchases of patterns, yarn, and tools for classes, or you can bring your own materials purchased elsewhere. Please arrive 10 minutes early if you need to purchase materials for your class.
